What we keep

Beholder does not collect or store personal information unless you sign in. When you sign in with Discord, Twitch, Steam or Google, we store the account ID that service gives us and the display name it shares; Steam shares no name. We also store the email address that service gives us, so we can contact you about your account; Steam shares none. No service gives us your password.

While you are signed in, we keep what you save or post with your account: tool plans, case desks, case files, ratings, and the notes and images you contribute.

A game save you open in a tool is read to answer that request and is not stored.

Analytics

If analytics scripts are loaded, they receive ordinary traffic data such as how many people visit. We are not trying to follow you as a person.

Assistant apps

When you use this site's app in ChatGPT or another assistant, the assistant sends this site the tool it calls and that tool's inputs: a game, a search phrase, an entry kind or ID, a language and a result page. The site uses them only to answer that request and does not store them. The request carries no account, so the site cannot tie it to you.

Server logs and retention

Every request, an assistant app's included, is recorded in the web server's access log: the sending address, the time, the requested path, the response status and size, the referring page and the client name. Access logs are deleted after 15 days.

Your account and what you saved or posted stay until you delete them or ask us to.

Your choices

You can delete a case file yourself. To learn what we hold about your account, or to have it deleted, write to [email protected] and name the service you signed in with.
