ASK WHAT SHE WANTS
Could you turn that off, Carl?
That's a mobile propaganda unit. It'll leave in a couple of days.
Oh! My migraine just went away... But that noise is making my head hurt even more.
Can't you do something?
I'm afraid I can't help.
This is disgusting! Nobody cares for people!
It's not OK to run a mobile propaganda unit at full volume day and night!
TALK ABOUT THE MOBILE PROPAGANDA UNIT
Did you have anything to do with the mobile propaganda unit explosion, Rowena?
Are you kidding, Carl? I'm sorry, but my headache is getting worse, so I don't feel like laughing...
I'm not kidding! The car was bothering you, and you blew it up! It makes sense!
So you think because I work at a plant, I can make a bomb and blow up a car?
And if I dislike the soup in the canteen, do you think I'll blow that up as well?
I'm not sure, but I think it's possible!
Do you have any proof I blew up the car?

TELL ABOUT THE MECHANISM THAT LOOKS LIKE A BOMB
I found a strange mechanism in your apartment. Is it a bomb?
Can't you tell radio parts from a bomb?
Do you think everyone around here is an idiot? If that's a radio, where's the speaker? And why was it assembled so hastily?
APOLOGIZE AND LEAVE
No. I have no proof. Sorry, Rowena.
This conversation is going to make my head explode!
MEET
I'm Carl, the landlord.
I'm Rowena Petracke
I finally found a good apartment close to the plant.
I work on the conveyer belt, and grow very tired, so I don't have the energy to commute.
I hope you like it!
Me, too! Is the fire alarm in the apartment working?
They work great. I check the meters constantly. Why do you ask?
I work at the plant, and I like putting mechanisms together. Don't freak out if my apartment starts to smell like solder.
Thanks for telling me.

DISCUSS THE WEATHER
The skies were clear only once or twice this week. It's going to get really cold soon.
I hate fall. It gives me migraines…
Because of the weather?
No, because of the migraine...

DISCUSS WORK
Working a conveyor belt is an interesting job. What exactly do you do?
I assemble the engines for the appliances the state puts in its apartment buildings. You must think that's not feminine, but there are a lot of women at our plant.
We host appliance assembly competitions, and a woman broke the record in the laundry machines category!
How interesting!
Do you by chance compete in soup-making contests?
Very funny, Carl. Male humor? If housewives governed the country, people wouldn't be hungry!
Our shift manager is a woman, too! She's thinking of becoming a politician.
Unlike male politicians, who are unpleasant, female politicians are simply disgusting!
Why?!
Because, just like Santa Klaus, they are imaginary figures in our country!
Your views on women are so broad, they're completely out of line.
Your chauvinism is making my head hurt again.
A headache? How typical...
Go away, Carl!

ASK ABOUT SUSPICIOUS THINGS IN THE BUILDING
Have you seen anything suspicious?
No. But I have a question, too.
Would you mind if I take one of the laundry machines apart over the weekend, Carl?
Why?
Something sounds funny in it. It's as though someone tried washing an alarm clock.
