Well, partner, I heard you'd gotten a promotion?

Well, partner, I heard you'd gotten a promotion?

So I did. What's going to happen with you?

Well, remember how I was loath to get close to the war zone?

I do.

Turns out that's where the new route of the Determination Bringer goes.

So I found a new job. I'm off at the next station.

It may not be as exciting, but at least it's quiet and far from the fighting.

I'm going to settle down.

Listen, you're sort of good with cats...

I am. What's this about?

You see, my future is uncertain. Especially considering where this train is going...

And Major Sargas won't leave Jack alone...

You want to give him to me?

I don't, but I think he has no good prospects with me.

Come off it, buddy! Things won't necessarily work out badly!

But if you do decide to give Jack away I'll be glad to take him. I'd be less lonely.

And by the way, I suggest you get rid of any weapons you might have.

Herr Major does love his impromptu staff inspections.

Okay, thanks for the heads-up.

Good. It's settled, then...

Maybe you're right, things might look up...

Besides, I've gotten used to the little guy. Let him stay with me.

Then safe travels to you and Jack.

We might meet again some day.

Good luck with your new job, Peter.

Good luck to you too, Winston. I think you'll need it more than I do.
